Main article: Human body
In fact, these are the most sparkling cells in our body, so in the organization they perform many functions: destroy the remains of destroyed cells, eat bacteria and parasites.
In order to destroy some bacterium, the macrophage literally merges with it, enclosing it inside itself and slowly dissolves it with the help of chemically active substances.
Phagocytosis is the process of absorption of large macromolecules and bacteria by phagocytes in order to protect the body. That's how macrophages destroy foreign agents in our bodies.
Video below, dendritic cells carry out phagocytosis (absorption of third-party particles).
After this process occurs - the macrophage creates a copy of some section of the bacterial cell and places it on its surface (this is like a bacterium passport with which the macrophage will introduce the surrounding cells). Thus, now all the "own" cells that will meet the macrophage will immediately read information about what a particular foreign structure looks like in the body and respond to it lightning fast. As a result, the body produces immunity to a certain irritant.
