2017: Mobile applications of category "Real estate" are investigated on 120 indicators

The Russian quality system (Roskachestvo) studied the most popular applications of category "Real Estate" (for search of apartments) in the Russian segment of shops Google Play and App Store, having analyzed them on 120 indicators, including functionality, convenience of using, reliability, performance and existence of additional information functions. In total the testing laboratory of information products Roskachestva tested 48 applications, including 26 for operating system Android and 22 — for iOS. Results of a research are published at the beginning of October, 2017.

Roskachestvo estimated mobile applications for search of apartments in 120 criteria

Proceeding from set of points the best applications for Android recognize Declarations of Avito, "by Yandex. The real estate – apartments", "Cian. Remove, purchase the apartment".

The greatest number of points among applications for iOS N1.RU received "the Real estate — Sale and lease of housing", "Cian. Remove or purchase the apartment, the room" and "Yandex. The real estate — New buildings to Purchase the Apartment".

At the same time the best application for Android is ahead of the leader of IOS in final point, however average final score of applications for iOS is insignificant above like that for Android.

According to the research, on average applications for iOS were more functional, than for Android. It is shown as in average scores by this parameter, and in specific examples: for example, for iOS the bigger number of filters of search has the Locals appendix (a possibility of accommodation with children and animals, a balcony, existence of home appliances, etc.), allows to sort declarations and to create the. And Yandex applications. The real estate only in the version of IOS has useful function by calculation of time from future house before work.

Statistically, owners of IOS-DEVICES are ready to spend more funds for acquisition of applications, at the same time, they are more exacting to functionality, design and convenience of using of software products" — the deputy manager Roskachestva Ilya Loyevsky emphasized.

At the same time, the application for iOS is expected there were safer, than applications for Android. It is all about closeness of the operating system from Apple that does it less vulnerable for the hacker attacks and cracking, than open Android OS, explained in Roskachestva.

At the same time applications for Android, unlike the IOS applications, in general are more adapted for physically disabled people.

Functionality

This direction of a research included assessment of filters of search, sorting of declarations, informational content of cards of housing, opportunities for saving the results of search and interaction with them and the additional functions offered by developers. Also within the research of functionality possibilities of applications when using without authorization were tested and free use, existence of a widget and support of orientations of the screen was defined. At mobile applications of IOS, in addition, support of services and expansions of the platform was estimated.

The best estimates on functionality received the application of Cian, "МЛСН.ру" and Move.ru for Android and Cian, "МЛСН.ру" and " Yandex.real estate " for iOS. "Lokals — lease without the commission" for Android and "Everyhouse have the smallest functionality: Search of the real estate" for iOS.

As for filters, practically all applications offered basic set – at the price, the location, the area, the number of rooms, etc. By this criterion the application of Cian received the highest points (for iOS and Android), among others filters is on repair, existence of pledge and the commission, a possibility of accommodation with children and animals, etc. It is interesting that whether the filter "the apartment was leased earlier" is available only for the HomeApp application (to iOS and Android).

Geography

Separately by experts it was estimated how many declarations on lease and on purchase of housing they offer in the different cities of Russia. The biggest base of declarations is expected have the applications aggregators collecting offers from a large number of the popular websites of the real estate: so, "Mitula Real estate" and "Sale and Real Estate Lease of Trovit" became leaders.

For comparison: the Real Estate of Chelyabinsk 74.ru application issued 6401 declarations of sale and 1360 declarations of lease of apartments whereas "Mitula the Real estate" (Android) — 35476 declarations of sale of apartments in Chelyabinsk and 8878 — about lease; "Cian. Remove, purchase the apartment" — 9283 and 1532 declarations respectively.

The Real Estate of Perm 59.ru application issued 8294 declarations of sale and 682 declarations of lease of apartments, "to Mitula the Real estate" (Android) — 51679 and 5614 declarations across Perm respectively, "Cian. Remove, purchase the apartment" — 16272 and 629 declarations. The number of the issued declarations was estimated once.

Information environmental friendliness

This parameter consists of obligatory compliance to three criteria: existence in it of various filters of search, existence of sorting of search results and that the most important, compliances of search issue to the set filters and parameters of sorting. As it appeared, only a half of applications is capable to issue to the user desirable declarations in the set order.

Them are:

• for Android: "Real estate base WinNER", МЛСН.ру, Real estate of Chelyabinsk, Perm, Arkhangelsk and Yekaterinburg, " Yandex.real estate ", Abribook, Domofond.ru, Domohota, "Mitula Real estate", Move.Ru and N1.RU.
• for iOS: МЛСН.ру, Real estate of Chelyabinsk, Perm and Tyumen, " Yandex.real estate ", Abribook, "Mitula Real estate", Move.Ru, N1.RU and Sterium.

The others, as a rule, or at all have no sorting of declarations, or when sorting according to the price a real estate in random order locates.

Convenience of using

Experts estimated each application on ease of use, quality of navigation, design, promotional materials, quality of russification, adaptation for physically disabled people and to other indicators.

The "Lease of Apartments without Intermediaries" applications, Abribook, Move.ru, N1.RU (Android) and Locals (iOS) were the simplest.

As for promotional materials, they prevent work in The Real Estate on AntiAgent.ru and Declarations of Avito applications.

Adaptation for physically disabled people was estimated on existence of voice input and support by the application of a dynamic font. Applications for iOS were not adapted for use by physically disabled people. Only the "Sale and Real Estate Lease — Trovit" application has support of a dynamic font. Applications for Android, on the contrary, in lump have a full support of a dynamic font, however the completeness of functionality (both a dynamic font, and a possibility of voice input) is implemented only in one program — Declarations of FarPost.

Security

Using specialized software applications were checked for existence of vulnerabilities, the redundancy of required permissions, a personal data storage, existence and content of privacy policy and a possibility of removal of personal data was estimated.

The best results showed the Real Estate of Yekaterinburg, Real Estate of Chelyabinsk 74.ru and Everyhouse applications for Android and Declaration of Avito, Domofond.ru and "to Mitula the Real estate" for iOS. Unsafe applications both for iOS, and for Android were not revealed.
