2024: The National Technological Olympiad begins in Russia. It will cover 600 thousand schoolchildren and students from Russia and 77 countries

The tenth anniversary season of the National Technological Olympiad (NTO) starts in Russia, which will cover about 600 thousand schoolchildren and students from Russia, as well as 77 foreign countries. Registration for participation in the intellectual forum is open from August 27, 2024.

The Olympics, which has become the largest engineering competition for young talents, offers participants the opportunity to prove themselves in the most relevant technological areas, including artificial intelligence, space, gene and nanoengineering, as well as smart and nuclear power.

Within the framework of the upcoming season, competitions will be held in 32 profiles for schoolchildren in grades 8-11 and in 7 areas for students. Participants will be able to solve real problems related to the automation of business processes, genomic editing, the development of underwater, ground and flying robotics, as well as the creation of wireless communication technologies.

Participation in the National Technology Olympiad opens up prospects for schoolchildren and students to enter the country's leading universities, as well as the possibility of internships in large technology companies. The status of the winner or prize-winner of the Olympics provides significant advantages when entering more than 100 Russian universities, as well as the possibility of employment in prestigious organizations.

As the head of the Ministry of Education and Science Valery Falkov noted, the National Technological Olympiad has become a springboard for many talented students, helping them not only to enter the best universities, but also to gain experience at large enterprises while still studying. Many of the participants, thanks to the Olympics, found their vocation in the scientific and technical fields, which allowed them to continue their professional path in these areas.^[1]
