2022: Launch of power lines for 6 billion rubles
On August 24, 2022, a solemn launch of a 254 km long power line (power line) took place, which connected the largest gold deposit in Yakutia - Nezhdaninskoye - with the village of Khandyga, Tomponsky District. The project worth 6 billion rubles was implemented by Polymetal.
Previously, the Nezhdaninsky production site was supplied with electricity by its own diesel energy complex. After Nezhdaninsky is connected to the power grids, the existing energy complex will become a backup power source. Connecting to power grids improves the economy of the enterprise and significantly reduces the impact on the environment, - said the head of Yakutia Aysen Nikolaev. |
According to him, in the future, power lines will be able to provide electricity to other fields in the territory of the Tomponsky district and the village of Teplyy Klyuch. In the future, branches to the fields of other subsoil users operating in the region may be built from power lines, which will allow more active development of the entire Eastern Yakutia
It is noted that the facility was built as soon as possible and in severe weather conditions. It is expected that power lines will increase the efficiency of development and affect the reduction in the cost of gold production.
The head of Polymetal Vitaly Nesis stressed that the construction of a new power line has, first of all, a very significant economic effect - the transition from diesel fuel to grid electricity will reduce the cost of gold production by about 15-20%.
Earlier it was reported that the Far East and Arctic Development Fund (FRDV) and the Moscow Credit Bank (MKB) will finance the construction of a power line for the Nezhdaninsky gold deposit in Yakutia for 7.2 billion rubles, which is being developed by Polymetal Int.[1]
