2018: Intel: the 5G will make a revolution in noninvasive treatment

By June, 2018 it is continued to prepare for start of networks of fifth generation, and as the general manager of Intel Robert Topol (Robert Topol) noted, the advanced 5G technologies will be used in different spheres of health care and will be able to make this revolution in noninvasive treatment.

According to Topol, originally use of a 5G will be limited to noninvasive manipulations and will be of particular importance in the field of telemedicine: thanks to a 5G remote consultations, demonstrations of transactions and other procedures will become possible. Intel hopes that the 5G will make a revolution in the spheres of health care which are not connected directly with invasive tools, and commercialization of a 5G will open doors for other business solutions in the field of medicine.

Intel sees big perspectives in use of a 5G in health care

It is expected that the wide covering of network and signal transmission with an insignificant delay will allow robots to perform inspections of patients in hospitals and at home – it is of particular importance for the elderly people living in hardly accessible areas. Qualcomm considers that medical devices for remote service are preferable both to patients, and to doctors. All necessary data from sensors are immediately processed and transferred to medical staff that allows to control a status of patients in real time and increases their commitment to regular observation and treatment.

The representative of Intel also noted that the 5G will be able to advance the latest technologies in the field of health care, and it in turn will allow doctors to watch a status of patients at any time and in any place. It is considered that the 5G will improve many existing options of diagnostics and treatment and also will allow to implement absolutely new - for example, remote inspections and even transactions. Low signal delay and a superreliable communication – necessary conditions for further promotion of these technologies, and a 5G will be able to provide them.[1]
