2025: Standard Approval
At the end of June 2025, Russia adopted the standard PNST 1007-2025 "Critical Information Infrastructure (CII). Hardware and software complexes (PAC). Classification by purpose. " The document establishes the classification of PAC, which, after their recognition as trusted, can be applied at CII facilities.
The Federal State Budgetary Institution "Russian Institute of Standardization" (FSBI "Institute of Standardization") and JSC "Scientific and Production Association" Critical Information Systems "(JSC" NPO "KIS") took part in the development of the standard. The document was introduced by the Technical Committee for Standardization TK 167 - "Software and hardware complexes for critical information infrastructure and software for them."
The standard provides for two groups of PACS - general and specialized purposes. The former include systems that meet a set of technical requirements common to most typical CII facilities, regardless of application. These can be virtualization PACs, information reception and transmission, control, physical security, collection, storage (recording and extraction) and data processing, implementation of artificial intelligence (including neuromorphic computing, machine learning), etc.
In turn, specialized complexes are manufactured for use at a specific facility of the CII, taking into account its features and the requirements of the authorized body. This is a PAK for healthcare, science, transport, communications, power, the banking sector and the financial market, state registration of rights to real estate and transactions with it, as well as for the chemical, mining, metallurgical, defense, rocket and space industry, etc.[1]
