Functions of SCE systems
- Planning of routes of deliveries, necessary transactions and resources.
- Management and supervision of all transactions and batches. Setup of notifications.
- Support of accomplishment of warehouse transactions (acceptance and placement on storage, preparation of orders and their sending, batch tracking and storage lives).
- Accounting and assessment of all actions and movements, developments of resources, flows, cost values of logistic processes.
- Analytics and reorganization of selection process and zone of selection of goods, use and loading of resources.
Structure of a SCE system
The solution for forecasting of sales of the company at the moment of time, the solution for inventory management and the logistic solution for replenishment management is a part of such system. SCE systems are provided by three types of software products.
- Systems for management of a warehouse (Warehousing Management Systems – WMS) give the chance to control fullness of warehouse spaces, to set rules of sorting, packaging and warehousing of loads, to estimate inventory condition in real time. The WMS systems can be integrated with the equipment for processing of barcodes and the automatic warehouse systems.
- Systems for management of transportations (Transportation Management Systems – TMS) allow to create the optimal transportation schedule of goods and materials (taking into account necessary delivery time, possible means of transport, working schedules, etc.), to prepare an optimal loading chart of vehicles, to trace the loads which are en route.
- Systems for order management (Order Management Systems – OMS) first of all help the buyer to create the order taking into account its individual requirements. In addition, OMS systems allow to estimate a possibility of order fulfillment and can offer alternative options (using data on existence of products and scheduled receipts). In case of business necessity OMS- a system transfers information on the order in APS- a system for assessment of a possibility of its accomplishment. After the order is placed, OMS- a system allows to trace it at all stages using information obtained from WMS- TMS- and MES- systems.
