2025: Growth in the volume of the Russian IT systems market for working with suppliers by 4 times to 3.5 billion rubles
By the end of 2025, the costs in the Russian market of IT systems for working with suppliers (Supplier Relationship Management, SRM) reached 3.5 billion rubles. For comparison, in 2020, the indicator was at the level of 0.9 billion rubles. Thus, over five years, spending has almost quadrupled. This is stated in the Kept study, the results of which were published on February 11, 2026.
SRM systems are specialized procurement management software. They create a single digital circuit for finding suppliers, holding tenders, concluding contracts, quality control of supplies and analytics. SRM solutions help organizations reduce costs, minimize risk, and increase supply transparency. Such systems allow you to pre-qualify suppliers, check their financial condition and quickly find alternatives, preventing downtime. SRM platforms provide tools for evaluating procurement performance, price analysis and forecasting needs, helping with strategic decision-making. Thanks to electronic competition (tenders, auctions) and procurement analytics, companies can choose the best offers, saving on procurement.
According to Kept estimates, the volume of the market under consideration in Russia in 2020-2025 grew by an average of 30.6% annually. The main drivers of the industry are the departure of foreign software suppliers and the development of local developer platforms.
As the market expands, in addition to existing solutions, players offer new products, including related services that increase the attractiveness of the electronic format for buyers. The authors of the study note that an important competitive advantage is the strengthening of the ecosystem of additional services for customers. These can be both integration solutions for working with the electronic procurement platform itself (financial services, etc.), and tools for optimizing the customer's internal business processes.
According to Rosstat, in 2024, 29% of medium and large businesses used specialized procurement software in Russia. It is expected that investments from enterprises in the development of digital infrastructure for procurement, the emergence of more affordable solutions, as well as an increase in supply from developers will lead to an accelerated growth of the SRM systems sector.
| Based on the fact that in Russia there are more than 6 thousand companies with a turnover of over 5 billion rubles, which can additionally implement SRM systems, the potential cumulative demand for SRM systems when implementing all factors as of 2024 is more than 150 billion rubles, the study says. |
When selecting an SRM vendor and related services, buyers focus on cost, functionality, and the ability to align systems with the current IT infrastructure. The implementation of SRM solutions involves end-to-end automation of the entire procurement cycle, as well as deep integration with the existing infrastructure (ERP, accounting modules), which is a difficult task. However, demand for such systems is growing steadily. Kept analysts believe that in the future, the CAGR in the current market in the Russian Federation will be 13.8%. As a result, by 2030, the SRM sector will reach 6.7 billion rubles. Demand is expected to increase from both large businesses and small and medium-sized enterprises. Another driver of the industry is the introduction of artificial intelligence.[1]
