2020: Funding for scientific space in Russia is 60 times less than at NASA
On December 1, 2020, it became known that funding for scientific space in Russia was actually reduced to a minimum, which does not allow competing with NASA.
Under the program for 2016-2025, it was planned to reach financing 12-15 billion a rubles year for the tasks of scientific space. This was stated at a meeting of the committee on State Duma of the Russian Federation education and science RAS President Alexander Sergeyev.
By 2022, funding for the work should fall to 2.9 billion rubles instead of 15 billion. In 2020, funding for scientific space, which is in Russia, is 60 times less than funding for scientific space at NASA.[1]
