Spain is leader in EU on granting citizenship to foreigners

According to the results of 2013, about Spain a quarter of cases of granting citizenship to foreigners of the countries included in the composition account for. Finally, most immigrants (51,181 people) decided not to renounce their first citizenship, and 15,958 people made the opposite decision.

The leader in the number of signed oaths was Catalonia with an indicator of 32,267 people. It is followed by Madrid (20,506), Valencia (4,543), Andalusia (3,373), the Balearic Islands (1,776) and Castile-La Mancha (1,453)[2].
