According to the statement of Rospotrebnadzor, by December 6, 2022, 49.5% of the population was vaccinated against influenza in Russia - more than 72.4 million people. The leaders in influenza vaccination coverage are Tuva (61.5%) and Chechnya (50.5%). The shares of vaccinated residents in Moscow and the Moscow region amounted to 54.5% and 58.8%, respectively. In St. Petersburg, 58% are vaccinated, and in the Leningrad region - 54.2%.

On November 18, 2022, Rospotrebnadzor announced the beginning of the epidemic season of influenza and covid. In particular, the Minister of Health of Russia Mikhail Murashko announced the active spread of swine flu.

The Moscow Department of Health also said that both in the capital and in the country as a whole, a significant increase in the incidence of influenza and SARS is recorded. The number of hospitalized children this year is 2-2.5 times higher than the average indicators of the epidemic seasons of the Docovid 2016-2019.

As Andrei Pozdnyakov, an infectious disease doctor, chief physician of the clinical and diagnostic laboratory of Invitro Siberia LLC, told Izvestia, the clinical symptoms of the H1N1 influenza A strain are febrile fever, that is, a temperature of 39.5 and above, pronounced symptoms of intoxication, body aches, and runny nose and cough occur later and are moderate. Cough usually occurs on the second or third day, but rather quickly becomes suprasadal and painful, since the flu is characterized by a lesion of the trachea - tracheitis, which under certain circumstances can go into bronchitis and pneumonia.

At the same time, influenza can lead to complications such as hyperthermic and hypertoxic reactions, in rare cases damage to the central nervous system, various vascular reactions, viral pneumonia (especially with swine flu), Pozdnyakov warned.[1]
