TOGAF - The Open Group Architecture Framework

TOGAF (The Open Group Architecture Framework) is the concept describing complex approach to development, planning, implementation and management of an information architecture of the enterprise. This methodology is recognized in information technology field by such companies as SAP, HP, IBM, Oracle, Booz, Accenture, Capgemini, etc.). TOGAF describes a complete development approach of corporate architecture for the following four levels: architecture of business, architecture of data, architecture of applications, technical architecture. It allows to receive the verified comprehensive target model of corporate architecture and to create the plan of transition to it. This approach can be applied as to standardization of all technologies and products which are used in the company, and to the solution of similar tasks for the separate functional directions and systems. Use of methodology of TOGAF allows to reveal duplication of functions and irrational use of resources at business process automation. TOGAF contains tools and means for building of process of management of corporate architecture within the company.
