Thin clients (market of EMEA)
Thin clients represent diskless systems which serve as the tool for an information access and to computing powers of the central server. When using thin clients load distribution lays down completely on a terminal server, and each user works behind the separate device (terminal stations) which in itself does not make any calculations, and only serves for determination of tasks and obtaining answers.

2014: Demand on thin clients in Russia falls
On April 3, 2015 the analytical agency IDC published some results of the research of the market of thin clients in EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa). There the surge in demand in 2014 is recorded, however further positive dynamics will slow down.[1]
According to the estimates of experts, in 2014 producers delivered about 1.97 million thin clients to the countries of Europe, the Middle East and Africa that is 7.9% more, than the previous year. This rise was promoted by the stopped official support of Windows XP and active updating of computer systems in a corporate segment.
However in 2015 influence of these factors came to naught, and now vendors look for new sources of growth, the senior analyst of IDC Oleg Sidorkin says. According to him, by the end of 2015 the market of thin clients to EMEA will return to the long-term trajectory of growth on a minute quantity of percent.
IDC predict that in 2015 the supply rate of thin clients in the states entering into EMEA, including Russia, will be almost 2 million units that is 1.3% more year on year. In 2016 and 2017 the release of devices will rise by 3.6% and 4.9% respectively — up to 2.07 and 2.17 million pieces.

In the research specialists concerned also the Russian market. Its volume as it became clear, decreased in 2014 to 5% of a total quantity of the thin clients who are let out in EMEA. The previous year this share indicator was 9%. Analysts expect that the contribution of Russia to total deliveries of thin clients in the region will decrease, as well as quantitative production in our country — up to 2016.
According to the staff of IDC, the adverse economic and political situation in Russia and in Ukraine created the negative pressure upon sales of thin clients in Central and Eastern Europe (TsVE). With respect thereto analysts find it difficult to make the forecast for demand in the region.
Unlike TsVE, the Western European market of thin clients grows. Moreover, within the first three quarters 2014 of sale increased more than by 10% there. However, to save such rates in 2015 it will be problematic therefore, most likely, shipments of thin clients to Western Europe will a little decrease in the first half of the year and will return to moderate growth in the next quarters, experts believe.
