2024: Turkish ICT market grows to $24.2 billion in a year

In 2024, the costs of the ICT market Turkey reached $24.2 billion. In the future, the sector will continue to show rapid growth, as stated in the review IDC published on February 12, 2025.

IDC takes into account the costs of equipment, IT services and telecommunications services, as well as costs in the areas of IaaS (infrastructure as a service), SaaS (software as a service) and PaaS (platform as a service).

Despite economic challenges and geopolitical tensions, Turkey's ICT market remains resilient, according to IDC analysts. Various digital transformation initiatives have a positive impact on the sector. Drivers include projects to develop artificial intelligence and the continued adoption of cloud technologies. Organizations are focused on modernizing infrastructure, reducing costs, and optimizing operations. Against this background, the demand for managed services, AI solutions and professional cloud services is growing.

IDC expects the Turkish ICT market to increase by 24% in 2025, reaching $30 billion. At the same time, the cost of telecommunications services will rise by 56% on an annualized basis, due to the introduction of 5G technology and the growing demand for high-speed Internet access. In the direction of IT services in 2025, an increase of 7% is expected. Costs in the IaaS area, analysts believe, will rise by 27%. The software sector will show growth of 19% on an annualized basis.

It is also said that the cost of developing and deploying applications in Turkey will more than double in the period from 2025 to 2028. This growth is due to several factors, including the need for enterprises to modernize outdated systems, the development of the microservice architecture, the integration of AI and machine learning.[1]
