History
2024: 10.2% increase in warehouse equipment production to 21,136 units
Russian enterprises increased the production of hoists and lifts to 21,136 units in 2024, which exceeds the 2023 figure by 10.2%. The growth of warehouse equipment production is taking place against the background of the active development of logistics infrastructure and the commissioning of new distribution centers throughout the country. This is evidenced by data from the analytical company TK Solutions, released in July 2025.
According to analysts of the company, the average annual increase in the production of hoists and lifts for the period from 2017 to 2024 was 9.4%. Stable positive dynamics indicate the stable development of the industry despite external economic challenges.
The leading federal district for the production of warehouse equipment remains the Volga Federal District, which accounts for 57.8% of total production for the period from 2017 to 2024. The second place is occupied by the Central Federal District with an indicator of 13.9% of production.
A joint study of the logistics companies PEK, Molkom and those specializing in special equipment ISTK, Jungheinrich Rus and the Technical Equipment Center showed serious changes in the market. In 2024, the cost of basic equipment for warehouses increased by 25% due to the weakening of the ruble exchange rate and an increase in leasing rates.
Price growth is superimposed on a limited supply of equipment. The main European manufacturers of warehouse equipment, which are replaced mainly by Chinese suppliers, have left the Russian market. This restructuring creates additional challenges for logistics operators.
Due to a shortage of equipment, logistics companies are seeking to extend the service life of existing equipment, increasing the frequency of repair work. Experts note that this approach partially compensates for the lack of new equipment on the market.[1]
