Historically the concept originates from production of vinyl records. Often advertizing copies of plates in white packagings to their official release were sent to DJs on radio and in night clubs to trigger public curiosity and more precisely to determine volumes of the future demand and production.
Such approach was repaid, and over time the concept began to be applied successfully in spheres of mass production of consumer goods, electronics, software, in Internet retail, and now — in the field of finance and investments.
