The execution of Vlasov and convicts in his trial

- The crimes I have conceived are great, and I expect a harsh punishment for them. The first fall is surrender. But I not only completely repented, however, late, but at the trial and investigation I tried to identify the whole gang as clearly as possible. I expect the most severe punishment.
Execution of Amon Goethe in Poland
Austrian Amon Göth, commandant of a concentration camp near the Polish city of Krakow, was transferred to Poland in the summer of 1946. His trial began on August 27, 1946. And already on September 5, 1946, the Supreme National Tribunal of Poland, held in Krakow, found Amon Göth guilty of the murder of more than 2 thousand people and sentenced him to death by hanging.
On September 13, 1946, at the age of 37, Amon Goet was hanged in the courtyard of Montelupich Prison, near the former Plashov concentration camp.
The executioner twice allegedly "made a mistake in calculating" the necessary length of the rope and successfully hung Amon Goethe only on the third attempt. Before his death, Goethe shouted a Nazi salute: "Heil Hitler!."
