Holding ABI MALL is a team of like-minded people, where each employee is a professional in the field of development and management of commercial real estate. ABI MALL Holding is part of the largest industrial group of companies ABI GROUP.

2002: Establishing a Company

The history of the ABI MALL holding began in 2002, when the word "development" was only part of the everyday life of Russians. The ABI Group at that time was studying new areas of business, including the development of commercial real estate. The first step along this path was the purchase of a land plot on Traktornaya Street. The selection of a construction site was an important conscious step for the company: the site is located in the geographical center of the city, in close proximity to key highways. After the acquisition of the site for construction, hard work began on the creation of a strategic development plan for this site, which took 2 years. A highly professional team was assembled, which underwent comprehensive training, which made it possible to apply a systematic approach in the development of this plan.

A number of foreign business trips were organized to study issues of land development, construction and development of commercial real estate. Meetings were organized with presidents and top managers of the largest shopping centers in Europe, such as Brent Cross, Bluewater, Bullring. Valuable experience in managing successful projects was gained during meetings with the management of the European office of the famous multinational company Westfield, which owns and manages 118 shopping centers around the world.

The ABI MALL team has repeatedly visited international exhibitions, acquired experience from world consulting (McKincey & Co USA (), Deloitte Consulting (USA), Wenzel Consulting (), Germany etc.), development companies (Dubai International Development Company (UAE), etc.) and architectural workshops, for example, Jerde (USA), whose masterpieces are listed in Harvard as examples of contemporary art.

The next strategic step in the development of ABI MALL holding was the work on the project of the Megatorg shopping complex. To develop a marketing strategy and the Megatorg brand, interviews were conducted among consumers and experts of real estate markets, quantitative studies in which about 3,000 people were interviewed. Dozens of focus groups among consumers were carried out, modern trends in the construction of not only shopping centers, but also other commercial real estate objects, for example, hotels and residential buildings, were analyzed.

As a result of great joint work, the philosophy of the shopping complex was born, which was based on the concept of a friendly space where the visitor feels comfortable and calm. The planning project of the shopping complex was developed jointly with specialists from the architectural bureau "Laguarda.Low" (USA). The author of the design of facades and interiors is the famous architect Sergei Choban. The result of this creative tandem was a project created for people that meets the modern trends of architectural thought, which is based on naturalness, environmental friendliness, safety and comfort. The choice of pastel colors, the use of granite, wide passages, a convenient navigation system, petal-shaped lighting and other author's solutions put the concept of a friendly space into practice.

In parallel with the development of the Megatorg project, ABI MALL is engaged in the acquisition of new land plots for construction. So, in 2005, the company owned a plot of land with an area of ​ ​ 50,000 m2 in one of the key areas of the city, which now houses the central city fair, which is a traditional place for many citizens to buy. Currently, ABI MALL is working on a detailed development strategy for this area.

2008

In 2008, the key project of ABI MALL - TK Megatorg was implemented. The architectural design, presented on paper, has become a new urban landmark. There are no trifles in Megatorg, everything is thought out - from a unique design, a wide selection of popular brands to a democratic pricing policy that allows you to satisfy the needs of a variety of consumers. In the same year, the project of TK "Megatorg" took 3rd place at the All-Russian competition of shopping centers "Cutting Edge Project" in the nomination "The most promising project."

Chronology of foreign business trips of the company management:

Spring 2005 - Poland

The purpose of the trip: to study the experience of the development of shopping centers in the post-Soviet space, a comparative analysis of the world's leading grocery hypermarkets.

Summer 2005 - United Kingdom

The purpose of the trip: a visit to Blue Water, which operates the largest shopping center in England. Studying the technology of doing business in the field of develomponent. A study of the activities of Westfild, which owns more than 118 shopping centers around the world. Familiarizing yourself with unique development, reconstruction and rebranding strategies, an overview of integrated development from one shopping center to an entire network using the example of the oldest Brand Cross retail facility in London.

Autumn 2005 - France

Purpose of the trip: visit to the Cannes exhibition "MAPIC" - the largest exhibition in the field of commercial real estate. Familiarization with the projects of leading architectural workshops. The preliminary agreement on working with the counterparty is Chapman Tailor, one of the best architectural workshops in the world.

Spring 2006 - Germany

The purpose of the trip: to study the experience of shopping centers in Germany. Study of the concept of the Megatorg shopping center under the guidance of architect Sergei Choban.

Autumn 2006 - France

Purpose of the trip: visit to the exhibition "MAPIC."

Spring 2007 - Germany

Purpose of the trip: selection of partners in light and sound design for interior decoration of TK "Megatorg."

Autumn 2007 - India

Purpose of the trip: selection of a supplier of natural floor covering for TK "Megatorg." Inspection of the quality and delivery dates of the material.

Fall 2009 - USA

Purpose of the trip: visit IAPPA, the largest exhibition in the field of entertainment equipment. Study of the latest samples of complexes and installations. Choosing a partner to design a future entertainment center. Study the experience of the entertainment park "Universal" and the largest US shopping center "Mall of Amerika."

Spring 2010 - United Arab Emirates

The purpose of the trip: to study the experience of shopping centers in Dubai.

Spring 2010 - USA

Purpose of the trip: meeting with the previously chosen partner - designer of the future children's entertainment center. Definition of the concept and direction of development of the DRC.

Summer 2010 - Malaysia

Purpose of the trip: visit the exhibition of Asian entertainment equipment. Formation of business relations with designers and suppliers of equipment for the future entertainment center in TK "Megatorg."

Spring 2011 - India

Purpose of the trip: control over the supply of flooring for the reconstruction of the 3rd stage of the Megatorg shopping center.

Fall 2011 - USA

Purpose of the trip: participation in the business training "Academy of Effective Entertainment Centers." Visiting IAAPA Attractions Expo 2011.
