ABISS Information Security Standards User Association

The non-profit partnership "Association of Information Security Standards Users" (ABISS) is an infrastructure platform for the formation of understandable and consistent approaches among users of segment standards information security financial.

As of January 2021, ABISS brings together auditors and information security consultants, credit and non-bank financial organizations, regulators, as well as international organizations, training centers and other associations. The mission of the Association is to ensure the interaction of market participants on issues of information security standards of the financial industry.

Anastasia Kharybina has been the chairman of the ABISS Association since February 2020.

History

2013

NP "ABISS Information Security Standards User Community" joined the PCI Security Standards Council (PCI SSC Council) as a member organization (PCI Participating Organization). The partnership and PCI SSC Council's collaboration aims to improve data security in the payment card industry through the development of standards such as the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS), PIN Transaction Security Requirements (PTS), and the Payment Application Data Security Standard (PA-DSS), CNews told ABISS.

2012

In June 2012, Keysystems joined NP ABISS as an information security auditor under the Bank of Russia Standard. Joining the Non-Profit Partnership "ABISS" will allow the company "Keysystems" to provide information security services to organizations of the banking system.

In March 2012, Softline and Inline Technologies became a full member of the non-profit partnership ABISS Information Security Standards User Community.

2011

On October 13, 2011, the companies Peace sign"" and Cabest"" (group Asteros"") became part of the founders of the non-profit partnership "ABISS Community of Standards Users information security." The executive director of PACIFICA, Pavel Genievsky, has been appointed chairman of the partnership.

"Members of NP" ABISS "are not only integrators, audit and consulting companies, educational institutions, credit organizations, but also regulatory companies that develop information security requirements. Therefore, our main goal is to build mechanisms of interaction and trust between stakeholders, build a control system and improve the quality of services. The success of the plan will open up the prospects for using self-regulation mechanisms, the formation of standards and rules for entrepreneurial activity in the field of information security not only for credit institutions, but also for organizations of other sectors of the economy, "said Pavel Genievsky, chairman of NP ABISS.

The non-profit partnership "ABISS Information Security Standards User Community" (NP "ABISS") was created with the aim of widely introducing uniform standards and rules for ensuring information security in credit and financial institutions and organizations participating in the national payment system of the Russian Federation. According to 2011 information, the partnership helps these organizations to facilitate the passage of the information security compliance assessment procedure with the requirements of regulatory and control bodies.

The main difference between the members of NP "ABISS" is that they have a certain trust of regulatory bodies. Therefore, customers who attract their partner systems to assess the compliance of information security, receive a certain quality guarantor before checking the regulators.
