2020: The AI service allowing to talk to the famous people, even the dead is provided
At the beginning of July, 2020 the AI service allowing to talk to the famous people, even the dead was provided. The project under the name AI|Writer - a new experiment of the conjurer and writer Andrew Mayne. Uses the solution the API generator of the text OpenAI for creation of simulation of conversations with virtual historical figures. At first a system finds out the purpose of the message and the expected receiver by search of templates in the text. Then she uses available data for reconstruction of the speech of the famous person.
The digitized persons can answer questions of the work, explain scientific theories or express the opinion. For example, Marie Curie gave a lesson of radiation subject, Herbert Wells shared inspiration sources for Time machine, and Alfred Hitchcock compared Christopher Nolan's Interstellar and "A space Odyssey of 2001" of Stanley Kubrick.
Meyn also suggests to use a new system for creative inspiration - for example, it is possible to ask the famous writer to finish the offer or the poem. Virtual persons can also compare the eras to the present. However Meyn explained that though service perfectly works with historic facts, it can "is cruel to be mistaken in attempt to voice opinion of the famous person" and seldom answers the same question equally.
AI service can answer from the face not only historical figures, but also fictional characters. According to Meyn, he received the most "touching" message from Improbable Hulk. The developer emphasized that AI|Writer "should not be considered as a reliable source or exact reflection of the actual views and opinions of historic figures" and is only an experiment on studying of interaction from AI. It is also going to open access to the tool for the bigger number of people.[1]
