Tver unwittingly became a major transport hub, crossing many tourist and touring routes. On the other hand, proximity to the capitals creates considerable difficulties, since both of these megalopolises delay the human, financial, and ultimately economic potential of Tver.

The city covers an area of ​ ​ more than 147 square km. It is located 167 kilometers from Moscow and 485 kilometers from St. Petersburg. From the south, the moraine Kalinin ridge approaches Tver. 2024: Site Hacking

At the end of October 2024, cybercriminals attacked the IT infrastructure of the Tver administration. As a result of the invasion, various Internet services were disrupted, including an online parking payment system.

According to Gazeta.Ru, referring to information received from the head of the information and analytical research department of T.Hunter Igor Bederov, one of the oldest hacker groups in Ukraine, RUH8, claimed responsibility for the hack. The cybercriminals themselves confirmed the attack on the website of the Tver administration.

The administration of Tver, in turn, said that a technical failure was recorded in the online parking payment system. It is emphasized that payment for parking during the period of work will not be charged. In addition, it is said that technical work is being carried out on the website of the mayor's office itself. Later, the Tver authorities announced the restoration of the operability of part of the services.

From October 31 [2024], the online parking payment system resumes work. Experts have fixed the technical malfunctions of the system, currently the ability to pay for parking online is available. In addition, we inform you that the payment on October 29 and 30 was not charged in connection with the technical work, the official notification says.

As of November 1, 2024, the official website of the Tver administration opens, but the latest news materials on it date back to January 2024. And at the top of the main page is a banner about the presidential elections in Russia on March 15-17, 2024.[1]
