2020: Entry into the exchange

On November 2, 2020 the company from Silicon Valley Aeva developing lidarny sensors for unmanned vehicles became the public company by merge to InterPrivate Acquisition Corp (IPV) company.

It is expected that the transaction with InterPrivate which is headed by the private investor Ahmed Fattukh will be complete by the beginning of 2021. Aeva is the last company which refused a traditional way of the IPO and became public through merge of SPAC. Aeva is the third company on production of lidars after Velodyne and Luminar which selected this way on the public markets.

Aeva went public NYSE, the company is estimated at $2.1 billion

The united company will be renamed into Aeva Inc., and it is supposed that it will be quoted further at the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and will bargain under a ticker of "AEVA".

According to TechCrunch, Aeva could attract $120 million private investments into public capital stock, or PIPE, including investments from Adage Capital and Porsche SE. The united company will provide about $363 million a gross revenue, this amount includes $243 million in trust management of InterPrivate and $120 million into PIPE. All shareholders of Aeva, including Lux Capital, Canaan Partners and Lockheed Martin, will save the equity interests after transition of Aeva to the public company.

Founders of a lidarny startup Sorush Salekhian and Mina Rezk developed what they call "4D a lidar" which can measure distance and also instantaneous velocity without loss of range, at the same time preventing noises from the sun or other sensors. The FMCW technology of the company also consumes less energy that allows to use the software for perception. Though the technology of the company first of all was developed for use in autonomous vehicles and also in the advanced systems of the help when driving, Salekhian says that the technology of his company also attracts interest of those who are engaged in consumer electronics.[1]
