2025: Oil service company "BurService" bought out Russian business Aggreko
In May 2025, the oilfield service company Burservice"" received permission from the president RUSSIAN FEDERATION Vladimir Putin to buy Russian business from the British Aggreko. The transaction provides for the acquisition of 100% shares in Aggreco Eurasia LLC.
According to Interfax, Aggreko Holdings Ltd owns 99% of the shares in Aggreko Eurasia, and Aggreko UK Ltd owns another 1%. The corresponding order was published on the portal of legal information.
Aggreko Eurasia has been operating in the CIS since 2008 and provides comprehensive services for providing flexible mobile power supply and temperature control. The company serves enterprises under construction and operating in various sectors of the economy - oil and gas, cement, glass, mining and other sectors.
British Aggreko announced its intention to sell Russian business in March 2022. After that, the company managed the asset separately from the rest of the group to support employees, while ending investments in the development of the project.
BurService is one of the largest oilfield service contractors in Russia and has become the successor to the Russian assets of the American Halliburton. The company specializes in the provision of services in the field of drilling and development of oil and gas fields, unites production bases in eight regions of Russia.
The acquisition of Aggreko Eurasia will allow BurService to expand its portfolio of services by adding the direction of mobile power supply and temperature control. This will complement the company's core drilling and development activities.
