The plant was created in 1975-1989 in order to provide off-season vegetables to residents of Moscow. Before the construction, a large-scale agroclimatic study of the entire territory of the south of the USSR was carried out and a unique place was chosen that was as suitable as possible for the production of vegetables. The optimal climatic conditions of Karachay-Cherkessia are the best for growing cucumbers and tomatoes.

In the early 2000s, a comprehensive reconstruction of all blocks of greenhouses was carried out at the agro-plant, a seeding complex was commissioned, work was carried out to reconstruct the boiler room, an autonomous boiler house with tanks, heat accumulators, technological extraction of carbon dioxide and its own water intake was built.

In 2017, the area of the seedling complex increased from 3 to 6 hectares.

Drip watering with climate control was introduced on 132 hectares of glass greenhouses.

The heating system meets the latest technological requirements. The heating system is divided into three independent circuits: two lower and one upper, which allows you to control the air temperature in greenhouses.

A separate pride of the agricultural plant is the seedling complex, in which 4 million seedlings are grown over the year using additional lighting. It was his who made it possible to establish a virtually continuous year-round production of vegetables with the least costs.

In order to expand the production space in October 2020, a separate division of JSC Yuzhny Agrokombinat - Rostovskoye, consisting of 16.6 hectares of fourth-generation greenhouses, was created.

Separate subdivision Moscow (distribution center) is located at the address: Moscow Region, Leninsky District urban settlement Gorki Leninsky, Zelenoye Shosse 4, p. 3 entrance 4.

In the near future, it is planned to build new greenhouse blocks, while it is expected to increase production by 2 times, and save gas consumption by more than 30%.
