The Aleksandro-Mariinsky regional clinical hospital takes the leading positions in Astrakhan on service quality and delivery of health care to the population. Founded in 1876, it is the largest medical institution of area.

The center of the advisory and polyclinic help, the regional diagnostic center, consulting and diagnostic department, the regional perinatal center, the regional center of the antirabichesky help, the regional vascular center, the center of anesthesiology and resuscitation, the center of recovery treatment, the center of traumatology and orthopedics, sales office of medical services, the round-the-clock and day hospital are a part of hospital.

In 2012 in the All-Russian tender "Organization of High Social Efficiency" the hospital took the 2nd place in the "For Development of Personnel Potential" nomination. In November, 2013 GBUZ JSC AMOKB it is awarded with the diploma of the governor of the Astrakhan region A.A. Zhilkin for active participation and the high level of the presented exposure at the I interregional specialized exhibition "MEDICINE, MEDICINE And ZDOROVE-2013".
