History of the bank
2022: SoundCredit bought Alfa-Bank Kazakhstan
On April 20, 2022, it became known that Alfa-Bank sold the Kazakhstani "daughter" to the bank "SoundCredit." Thanks to this deal, Alfa-Bank Kazakhstan will be able to get out of Western sanctions.

It is noted that after the legal completion of the transaction, SoundCredit will rebrand its new subsidiary, and will also be ready to support Kazakhstan Alfa-Bank with additional liquidity to fulfill all its obligations to customers.
Russian Alfa Bank and its subsidiaries fell under blocking US sanctions. The following structures associated with Alfa Bank were included in the sanctions list: the Dutch Amsterdam Trade Bank, Alfa Direct, Cyprus Alfa Capital Markets, forex dealer Alfa Forex, leasing company Alfa Leasing, a subsidiary of Alfa Bank in Kazakhstan. US authorities gave time until May 6 to curtail operations with Alfa Bank.
SoundCredit has been operating since 1998. It is noted that by April 2022 it is one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan with a universal business model. The bank serves clients in all regions of Kazakhstan. The main shareholders are the head of the board of directors Bakhytbek Bayseitov (40.1%) and a member of the board of directors Vladislav Lee (9.2%).
According to the data, to data National Bank as of March 1, 2022 the bank "A-Credit" and Alfa-Bank in Kazakhstan took the 7th and 11th place respectively among 22 Kazakhstani banks in terms of assets.[1]
2017

Foundation 1994
- On April 7, 1994 in Moscow, CIB Alfa-Bank and AOZT Alfa-Trust acted as founders and created Alfa-Bank AB. The authorized capital of the bank is determined in the amount of $1.5 million in the form of shares, which at the then exchange rate amounted to KZT80.1 million.
