2025: Construction of one of the largest data centers in Siberia for ₽1,9 billion
The Moscow company Alfa-Finance has completed the construction of a data processing center near Novosibirsk and will launch it in August-September 2025. The volume of investments in the project is ₽1,9 billion. This was announced by the Minister of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region Lev Reshetnikov on July 30, 2025.
The facility is being built on the site of the industrial and logistics park of the Novosibirsk region and will become one of the largest data centers in Siberia with more than 1.8 thousand IT equipment racks. According to Kommersant, installation work is being carried out at the construction site to complete the facility. Initially, the company planned to complete all work by 2024, but the timing was adjusted due to the technical features of the project.
Maria Beilish, CEO and owner of Alfa-Finance, noted that the data center being created will correspond to the Tier III level according to the Uptime Institute classification. The power of the facility will be more than 12 mW, which will allow you to accommodate a significant amount of computing equipment.
The project will use Russian-made equipment, as well as use modern solutions in the field of cold supply and uninterruptible power supply systems. This approach will ensure technological independence and compliance with import substitution requirements.
The agreement on the construction of the Siberia data processing center was signed at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum. The document was signed by the Governor of the Novosibirsk Region Andrei Travnikov, General Director of Alfa Finance Maria Beilish and General Director of the Investment Development Agency of the Novosibirsk Region Alexander Zyryanov.
Zyryanov noted that the number of data centers is increasing throughout the country, while the demand for their capacity remains high. Such projects are characterized by high energy consumption, which imposes special requirements on the placement site.[1]
