Alko-NAFTA Ltd produces the polyethyleneterephthalate (PETF) of the Eköpet trademark intended for production of PET-bottles and cans, a container and packaging of food appointment and also different products of technical and household purpose. Alko-NAFTA Ltd is the modern enterprise for production of PETF of food appointment to territories of the Customs union with a rated power of 220 thousand tons per year.

History

2014: Alko-NAFTA of the first of the Russian companies will be able to use the European procedure of exemption from the import duties

Alko-NAFTA Ltd, the Russian enterprise for production of PETF (polyethyleneterephthalate), announced in February, 2014 obtaining by the European partner of the company of permission to use of the procedure of remission of the import duty (outward processing relief, further OPR) on supply of polyethyleneterephthalate (PET) to Europe.

OPR provides partial exemption from the import duty on PET which was made using the European raw materials outside the European Union.

Thus, became Alko-NAFTA Ltd the first Russian company which is actually using the OPR procedure thanks to which the import duty was reduced with 6.5 (the duty operating since January 1, according to Regulations of the European Union No. 978/2012, for the Russian PET producers) to 1%.

Decrease in the import duty on deliveries of PET will promote improving competitiveness of products under the Eköpet trademark and to gain of positions of the company in the European polymeric market and also will help the enterprise to react more quickly to change of market situation, concentrating sales in more attractive markets of PET, with receiving the most profitable to itself conditions.
