2025: Opening of perinatal center for ₽6 billion

A new perinatal center was opened in Almetyevsk, designed for 168 female and 85 children's beds with the ability to receive up to 3.5 thousand births annually. This was reported by the press service of the rais of the Republic of Tatarstan on December 22, 2025.

Construction of the facility began in May 2024. A new seven-story complex with an area of ​ ​ 19 thousand square meters. m equipped with the latest technology. The center has a department of assisted reproductive technologies and for the first time outside Kazan - a hybrid operating room. The object, in which more than 6 billion rubles were invested, belongs to the Almetyevsk interdistrict multidisciplinary hospital.

The hybrid operating room allows surgical interventions with simultaneous imaging. X-ray and ultrasonic equipment is integrated into the operating room. This improves the accuracy and security of operations. Surgeons receive an image in real time.

The standard design of the center has been significantly finalized. Optimized logistics flows and redistributed capacity. The entire infrastructure of the facility is rationally used. This approach provides effective patient care and comfort for expectant mothers.

Rais Tatarstan Rustam Minnikhanov noted at the opening that it is important for expectant mothers to know where and how they will give birth so that there are minimal risks. According to him, this is an important step for the demography of the region. Ensuring access to modern health care contributes to the rise in fertility.

The center will become a key healthcare object of the southeast of the republic and one of the most modern perinatal institutions in the country. The staffing of the new center is about 70%. There is an active set of medical specialists to ensure full-fledged work.

According to the press service of TATNEFT, the new perinatal center of Almetyevsk has introduced technologies of the future. Babies born here have the ability to use regenerative technology. Stem cells are taken from cord blood. Genome-wide sequencing is used for all newborns.[1]
