2025: Foundation Launch

A new seed venture fund Artgen Seed Fund has been launched in Russia to invest in healthcare startups with an emphasis on artificial intelligence projects. The amount of funding will be up to ₽150 million over three years. The fund was created by Artgen Biotech to support developers in the early stages of development from an idea to a minimally viable product. The company announced this on June 24, 2025.

The new investment instrument specializes in pre-seed and seed rounds of financing projects with ready-made layouts, prototypes or minimally viable products. The fund plans to provide funds to startups during the initial stage of commercialization of developments.

Investments will be made in the format of convertible loans without the requirement of collateral. This financing scheme allows startups to receive funds on more comfortable conditions compared to traditional banking products. The most successful projects will be able to provide additional acceleration support from the Artgen Biotech ecosystem.

Priority areas for investment are projects in the field of artificial intelligence, systems for supporting medical decision-making and digital health care. The foundation also looks at startups in anti-aging, personalized medicine, diagnostics, gene therapy, oncology and neuroscience.

It is planned to annually finance up to 10 most promising projects through competitive selection. Artgen Biotech intends to increase the fund's funds in subsequent years, attracting external investors to participate in the initiative. Initially, financing will be carried out at the expense of the company's own funds.^[1]
