2024: "Food Initiative" acquired "Artis-Baby Food"

On October 18, 2024, it became known about the change of ownership of Artis-Children's Food JSC, one of the largest food suppliers for schools and hospitals in St. Petersburg. The Food Initiative company acquired a controlling stake in the enterprise, the annual turnover of which exceeds ₽3 billion.

According to "Business Petersburg," the new owner concentrated in his hands 98.2% of the shares of "Artis-Children's Food." The amount of the transaction is estimated at about ₽200 million. Previously, control over the company belonged to Evgeny Chernyshev and Mikhail Lyasko, each of whom owned 49.09% of the authorized capital. Both businessmen were declared bankrupt in the claims of St. Petersburg Bank.

The owners of the largest food supplier to hospitals in St. Petersburg have changed

The change of ownership occurred as a result of bidding for the sale of property of bankrupt owners. Food Initiative acquired two lots, each of which included 27 ordinary registered shares of Artis-Children's Food JSC with a par value of ₽1 thousand each. The initial price of each lot was ₽102,2 million.

Artis-Baby Food has been operating in the market since the 1990s and is a significant player in the supply of food for social institutions. Among the main customers of the company are the Leningrad Regional Clinical, Gatchina Clinical Interdistrict and Lomonosov Hospitals, St. Petersburg City Hospital No. 40, as well as several dozen schools in Kolpinsky, Kirovsky, Pushkin and Primorsky Districts. The company has about 600 employees. The company has its own food plant with a capacity of more than 6 thousand portions per day, a warehouse with an area of ​ ​ 2.5 thousand meters ² and a developed logistics system.

The new owner of Artis-Baby Food, the Food Initiative company, was founded in the summer of 2023. In 2024, it entered into seven state contracts totaling ₽6 million for the supply of food to the National Medical Research Center. V. A. Almazov.[1]
