In the summer of 2017, it became known that Astana will create the Astana Hub technopark, the main focus of which will be the support and development of IT startups. The project of the international park of IT startups Astana Hub, the government of the Republic of Kazakhstan plans to launch within the framework of the state program "Digital Kazakhstan."
According to the government's plans, the state program will serve to improve the quality of life of citizens of the republic through the digitalization of all spheres of life, and will also play an important role in strengthening the competitiveness of the Kazakhstan economy in the international arena. It is expected that according to the results of the project, the share of the ICT sector in Kazakhstan's GDP by 2020 will reach 4.85%; 31% increase in productivity in the ICT sector; digital literacy of the population will be 80%; the share of Internet users will grow to 78%; the share of electronic public services provided in relation to the total number of services received in paper and electronic forms will increase to 80%.
