2022: Establishing a Company

At the end of October 2022, it became known about the creation of a new IT company by Auchan. It was named "Auchan Teh."

According to Interfax, citing data from the SPARK-Interfax system, Auchan Tech LLC with an authorized capital of 10 thousand rubles was registered on October 24, 2022. The main activity of this legal entity is the development of computer software. The sole owner of the company is Auchan.

Auchan is not the first retailer that decided to create Russia its own IT company. The the German chain of hypermarkets did the same in 2022. Globus Globit LLC with an authorized capital of 10 million rubles was registered on October 18, the main activity of the company is the development of computer software. The sole owner of Globit is Hyperglobus LLC, the main operating structure of Globus in Russia.

Also in October, a new IT structure (Lamoda Tech LLC) was created by the online retailer Lamoda. The authorized capital of the new company is 10 thousand rubles.

In the spring of 2022, Auchan Retail announced that they were stopping investments in the Russian Auchan, the company noted that the division operates autonomously.

The company is actively developing its IT infrastructure in Russia. Thus, Auchan has deployed an analytical platform for Big Data in the public cloud. The new solution will be used for both AI training and machine learning models and ad-hoc analytics for product and function teams.

The company plans to train tens of thousands of ML models. The automatic cluster scaling feature enables hundreds of machines to be used for training and automatically reduce power during interruptions in use.^[1]"
