1959: Director Tovstonogov invites Tatyana Doronina and Oleg Basilashvili to the theater

In 1959, the chief director of the Maxim Gorky Bolshoi Drama Theater, G. A. Tovstonogov, preparing for the production of Maxim Gorky's play "Barbarians," did not find the optimal performer in his troupe for the role of Nadezhda Monakhova and invited Tatyana Doronina to the theater together with Oleg Basilashvili.
