2025: Launch of Russia's first polymer compound plant
BNG Compounds has launched the first full-cycle polymer compound plant in Russia at the production site in the Vyazemsky municipal district of the Smolensk region. The company is a unique vertically integrated complex for the country, specializing in the production of non-combustible materials with a closed production cycle from the extraction of raw materials to the manufacture of finished products. Investments primarily in the project amounted to ₽300 million, and production capacity will reach 400 tons of products per month. This became known in August 2025.
The project is planned to be implemented in several stages with a phased increase in production capacity and an expansion of the range of products. At the initial stage, the company will create basic jobs for operators and process engineers.
The production program of the new plant at the first stage includes the production of two main categories of compounds. The first group is represented by halogen-free compositions designed for the manufacture of power and signal cables of various designs with reduced fire hazard.
The second category consists of special brands of compounds, which are produced according to individual technical assignments of customers. This approach allows you to meet the specific needs of customers in various industries.
The plant's products are used in the energy infrastructure, construction industry, electronics industry and other sectors of the economy. Depending on the requirements of customers, the production site is able to offer dozens of modifications of polymer compounds. Such materials are particularly used in chips.
The annual productivity of the enterprise at the first stage will be up to 4.8 thousand tons of finished products. Such volumes will provide a significant share of the needs of the Russian market in high-quality non-combustible polymer materials.[1]
