2021: Launch of food preparation and delivery service

At the end of May 2021, Dmitry Dubilet announced the launch of the Ba Food food preparation and delivery service. The former Ukrainian minister called his new project a "virtual restaurant" with express delivery of dishes (up to 30 minutes).

At the time the service began, he has four points in Kiev. Soon, Ba Food will have a mobile application, a brand will be updated, and the service will expand (it is planned to launch in other cities of Ukraine).

As Dubilet explained, the startup has no costs for renting premises, salaries for waiters in them, like traditional restaurants. Only the kitchen, procurement shop and delivery work: the service has its own couriers, and delivery is carried out using Glovo and Roket.

According to Dubilet, Ba Food invests a lot in technology, support, delivery, couriers and gifts to regular customers.

We have already opened four points on Kiev. They almost immediately earned a capacity of 50-70% and made a profit. The next few months we open several more points around Kiev to cover most of the city. Then - other cities and countries. At some point, we will raise investments, "wrote Dmitry Dubilet on his Facebook page.

Dubilet's partners in the project are the former general director of Moyo retailer Andrei Barashenko, as well as Denis Stamat, who previously worked at Uber and Yandex.Taxi.

For the further development of Ba Food, it will be necessary to attract investments, but the team did not disclose the details of the plans.

By the end of May 2021, at least five restaurant food delivery services are operating in Ukraine: Glovo, Zakaz.ua, Crew Service, Mister.am and Rocket. Until 2020, Menu.ua, Eda.ua, Uber Eats services also worked in the country.
