2021: Revocation of license and bank's appeal to customers
On April 16, 2021, the Central Bank revoked the license from the Neiva Bank in Yekaterinburg. Its shareholders were previously co-owners of Severnaya Kazna Bank. Neiva ranked 188 in terms of assets. According to the regulator, he violated the legislation on countering the laundering of proceeds of crime and the financing of terrorism - the bank allegedly sold a lot of currency without identification.
In this regard, Neiva Bank issued an appeal to its customers:
"With great regret, we inform you that on April 16, 2021, the Central Bank of the Russian Federation revoked the license of NEIVA Bank LLC, our bank. Obviously, the regulator is pursuing an extremely tough policy - there was only one prescription at the beginning of this week to limit the volume of foreign currency sales to 2.2 billion rubles per month, which was executed. But today it was decided to revoke the license.
We emphasize that there are no "holes" in the bank's balance sheet, all assets are mostly concentrated in highly liquid instruments - either cash in the cash register, or funds in the Central Bank, or investments in OFZ - the bank has always followed a low-risk policy. The loan portfolio is quite small and reliable - a little more than 1 billion rubles.
At the moment, we are waiting for information from the DIA through which agent bank payments will be made to individuals and enterprises of medium and small businesses falling under the deposit insurance system in the range of 1.4 million rubles. Within 2 weeks, DIA should do all this. The remaining funds will be returned by the interim administration as part of the liquidation process of the bank. "
The bank stressed that it is still open and ready to inform its customers through all communication channels. The bank's website will resume next week.
