2020: Creation of the Data Management Department of the Central Bank
At the end of December 2020, the Bank of Russia announced the creation of a data management department. It will be headed by Alexey Lukovnikov, who previously worked at Sberbank as a CDO finance unit.
It follows from the regulator's message that the new structure is created on the basis of the reporting processing department, to which the data management center joins (by December 25, 2020, it is part of the statistics and data management department).
The new department will be responsible for the methodology and organization of data management in the Central Bank, the collection and processing of reporting and other data, the regulation and control of the activities of credit bureaus, and the maintenance of the database by the central catalog of credit histories. He will also oversee the Bank of Russia reporting collection and processing center.
The Bank of Russia Data Management Department will be launched on January 11, 2021. On the same day, the Department of Statistics will begin work on the basis of the Department of Statistics and Data Management. Ekaterina Prokunina remains the director of the division. The Department of Statistics will continue to oversee the First Deputy Governor of the Bank of Russia Ksenia Yudaeva.[1]
