2021: Fiserv bought BentoBox

On October 18, 2021, Fiserv, a company specializing in financial and payment technologies, announced the acquisition of BentoBox for integration with its Clover point of sale system. The platform ensures uninterrupted operation of restaurants and is designed to accelerate growth and help restaurants establish uninterrupted communication with their guests. The financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Combining the BentoBox solution with Clover's end-to-end management platform and commerce capabilities will increase the operational efficiency of restaurants and allow operators to provide their visitors with an unimpeded and individual hospitality experience, eliminating friction in the system on October 19, 2021.

The transaction is subject to normal approvals and closing conditions and is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2021.^[1]
