2024: The Government of the Russian Federation allocated 1.9 billion rubles to expand Biotechnopark
The Russian government has allocated additional funds in the amount of ₽1,9 billion for the development of the Novosibirsk Biotechnopark. This became known on August 7, 2024, when the Minister of Economic Development of the Novosibirsk Region Lev Reshetnikov announced the start of construction of the second stage of the innovative complex. The funds will be used for technological connection to water supply, sewerage, power supply and heat supply systems.
According to TASS, the new phase of Biotechnopark will be located on the territory of the innovative and scientific and educational activities of Smartsiti-Novosibirsk. This area near Novosibirsk is planned to be developed until 2035. The production of new residents engaged in biotechnology and medical profiles will be located here. The expansion of the park is expected to attract new investment projects, contributing to the development of science and innovation in the region.
In 2024, funds from infrastructure budget loans were allocated to ensure technological connection to the necessary life support systems. This will speed up the construction and integration of new production facilities. The second stage construction project includes attracting residents with innovative projects, which will increase the competitiveness and scientific potential of the region.
The innovative scientific district "Smartsiti-Novosibirsk" will cover the territory of the Novosibirsk Academgorodok and the science city of Koltsovo, where the State Research Center "Vector" is located. In the future, the installation of the megacyence class will be built here - the center of collective use of SKIF. The construction of the complex is scheduled for completion in 2035. The total investment will amount to ₽46 billion.
The Biotechnopark project in Koltsovo is a joint initiative of the government of the Novosibirsk region and the Koltsovo administration. The goal of the project is to create a research and production site for companies engaged in research and development in the field of biotechnology and related areas. The first resident began his activities on the site in 2012.[1]
