BlueTalon — the American software developer founded in 2013 which helps the companies to configure on a centralized basis access for employees to corporate data. The platform allows information security specialists to set rules of access to popular DBMS and clusters of Hadoop and also to monitor observance of these rules.
The politicians of access created by means of solutions of BlueTalon can be configured in the smallest parts. For example, it is possible to distribute to users of power on the basis of their job descriptions, divisions which workers, and a confidentiality level of data which they need to browse treat. For example, access to the history of purchases of clients, but not to data of bank cards using which transactions were made can be provided to the analyst who is responsible for efficiency evaluation of sales of the company.

2019: Microsoft purchased BlueTalon
On July 29, 2019 Microsoft announced merger of BlueTalon. How many the software giant paid for purchase of a startup, is not specified. Other terms of transaction are also not opened.
By the end of July, 2019 BlueTalon attracted in total $27 million investments. The informed source of SiliconANGLE says that BlueTalon acquisition value, most likely, appeared much less $27 million.
According to the informant, BlueTalon could not create high flows of revenue in spite of the fact that several largest companies from the list of Fortune 100 use products of vendor.
Developers, than program providing are interesting to Microsoft in BlueTalon. The purchased company will be a part of division of Azure Data Governance.
As the CEO of BlueTalon Eric Tilenius wrote in the blog, sale to Microsoft company began "the powerful factor supporting BlueTalon mission — to provide easy and secure access to data in the company, providing high-quality solutions on data management and compliance to requirements".[1]
