2025: Attraction of RUR 250 mln of investments
In December 2025, the Bresler research and production enterprise in the city of Cheboksary announced a 1.6-fold increase in capacity for the production of high-tech products. The total investment in the expansion of production exceeded 250 million rubles.
The key role in the financial support of Bresler was played by the Federal Industrial Development Fund (FRP). He allocated 200 million rubles in the form of a preferential loan under the Development Projects program, according to information on the official portal of the FRP.
According to the FRP, these funds are aimed at installing a modern high-tech line for surface installation of electronic boards. This line is a key link in the production of microprocessor relay protection and automation terminals.
The devices perform the functions of digital protectors for substations and power plants: measure network parameters, analyze data to identify problems, manage equipment and integrate into common control systems.
Emergency response automation promptly prevents the development of accidents in power systems, and relay protection timely disconnects the damaged section of the network. This minimizes damage from faults and improves the overall reliability of the power supply.
According to Nikolai Efimov, general director of NPP Bresler, the degree of equipment wear in the Russian electric power industry reaches 50%. The transition of the industry from outdated electromechanical devices to modern microprocessor solutions creates high demand. Modernization of production will allow the company to increase its share in this market to 10%.
The main consumers of Bresler products are the largest energy and industrial companies: Rosseti, Gazprom, Rosneft, Transneft, RusHydro.
According to the FRP, a new testing laboratory has also been created at the enterprise as part of the investment project. It is equipped with a complex for testing for electromagnetic compatibility and reference metrological equipment, which allows you to carry out a full cycle of tests and ensure high quality of manufactured devices.[1]
