2019: With EASY electronic systems, the cost of wheat can be reduced by 13%

CLAAS, based on a farm in Lower Saxony, Germany, tested the implementation of EASY electronic systems and calculated the costs during the entire period of wheat cultivation. The use of EASY products by the German agrarian company, such as automatic steering system, technology for mapping yields and differentiated application of fertilizers, machine monitoring and documentation system TELEMATICS, together helped to reduce the total cost of wheat by 13%: from 1395.47 euros/ha to 1213.97 euros/ha (from 109 thousand rubles/ha to 94.7 thousand rubles/ha).

The agricultural work cycle began in March, when wheat was sown on the field by the AXION tractor. Until June, fertilizers and plant protection products (SPR) were applied several times. Harvesting was carried out in early August by the TUCANO combine harvester. As a result, 39% of the cost structure accounted for expenses related to the introduction of NWR - 478.55 euros/ha, another 20% - fertilizers (239.13 euros/ha). At the same time, the most significant indicator of savings - 24.4% - was achieved precisely for the most costly component - the introduction of SPR. The use of fertilizers decreased by 15%.

Fertilizer scattering and spraying are optimized by crop yield mapping technology. Based on the data previously obtained during harvesting, differentiated application of fertilizers and SPRs is subsequently carried out. Several electronic systems provide a positive economic effect: meters of the processed area, as well as crops - QUANTIMETER, GPS PILOT navigation equipment, mobile data transmission systems and TELEMATICS software, which combine data collected from several machines. As a result, optimal doses of substances affecting the yield are applied to each individual area of ​ ​ the field, oversaturation of the soil with fertilizers and NWR is excluded.

Between 3 and 5% of the costs of testing EASY electronic systems were saved on tillage and planting, as well as harvesting. In particular, monitoring systems made it possible to better organize and coordinate the operation of the equipment, reducing the downtime of TUCANO combine harvesters by 5%. Due to the reduction of ceilings using corrective GPSGLONASS signals/accuracy up to 2-3 cm, the consumption of fuel and lubricants decreased by 3%, the total operating time of the equipment and wear of the working organs decreased.

1992-2020

The company has organized a full cycle of production of combine harvesters. The area of ​ ​ the enterprise: 48 hectares, the number of personnel 550 people. From 2003 to 2020, investments amounted to 160 million euros.^[1]
