1958-1993

The closed joint-stock company "Cartontara" (a former pulp and cardboard mill) was built on the instructions of the Krasnodar Sovnarkhoz on the basis of Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR No. 115 of January 28, 1958. The company was created to process a semi-finished product that simultaneously arises at the tannin extract production plant. For this, an appropriate technology was developed that allowed the enterprise to be located within the city and did not cause irreparable damage to the environment. The first project for the construction of the plant was created in 1939 by the Ukrainian branch of Giprobum, which conducted research work and experiments on the use of odubin to obtain container cardboard. The design of the plant was carried out by Mosgiprobum. The estimated cost of the entire complex was more than 163 million rubles.

  • On July 17, 1964, the state commission signed an act on the commissioning of the corrugated concrete workshop.
  • On September 28, 1964, the heart of the plant came to life - the heat and power plant. The first electroenergy merged with the Krasnodarenergo system.
  • On December 24, 1964, the first samples of cardboard were received, and three days of lowering, a whole tymbur of products was already removed from the corting machine.
  • On May 8, 1965, the plant was fully commissioned. During the first year of the plant's operation, 25,770 tons of cardboard and 13,100 tons of cardboard containers were produced.
  • As a result of the search for new forms of farming, the enterprise underwent a number of transformations. On the basis of order No. 5 of 28.06.1991 and in accordance with Decree of the Council of Ministers of the USSR of 19.06.1990 No. 590, the fixed assets of the enterprise were donated to the ownership of the labor collective.
  • During the transition of the country's economy to market relations, the tannin extract plant ceased to operate. Kartontara CJSC created difficult conditions for providing raw materials. The imported technological chips and wood began to be missed. Profits began to fall due to deteriorating work and higher prices for raw materials and energy resources. There was a need to solve the problem of increasing fiber output, reducing the consumption of electricity, heat, water and other resources.
  • In this regard, since September 1993, instead of semi-cellulose, development of the production of CTMM began, which made it possible to raise the yield of fiber from wood to 85% instead of 55% in the production of semi-cellulose. The company was registered as a joint stock company on June 27, 1991.
