Carketa focuses on rethinking the experience of selling used cars, allowing independent and franchised car dealers to optimize every aspect of their representative offices, the startup website says.
Carketa automates the search process and helps dealers sell more cars faster. With Carketa Recon, the dealer can load his reserves with Dealer Management Software (DMS) and manage his vehicles from purchase to purchase by the customer through active inventory management and vehicle valuation. With Carketa Connect, dealers and customers can track the car throughout the process, often selling the car before it is ready.
History
2021: Raising $6 million
On November 16, 2021, Carketa, a developer of SaaS applications for car dealers, announced the closure of $6 million in seed financing conducted by Origin Ventures and Crosslink Capital with additional funding from Hack VC, Lancaster and I2BF Global Ventures Ilya Golubovich.
The company intends to use the funds received to expand sales internationally to independent and franchise dealers, as well as to accelerate the release of new tools.
Carketa co-founder Jason Berri also owns Action Auto, one of the fastest growing independent auto shows in Utah. Initially, Carketa was created to improve the repair process, just to sell more cars per month. Jason's experience with online sales solutions proved that the methods used earlier are "outdated and clumsy." Carketa fundamentally changes the current processes for dealers, closely interacting with the Carketa Condition Report, a 200 + point verification system that details the current state of the car[1]
