Performance indicators

2024: 49.7% increase in net income to $378.2 million

At the end of 2024, one of the largest banks in Kazakhstan BCC (Bank CenterCredit) recorded a net profit of 202.4 billion tenge ($378.2 million at the exchange rate as of August 7, 2025). This is 49.7% more compared to the previous year, when the figure was 135.2 billion tenge. The relevant data are reflected in the financial statements, which TAdviser reviewed in early August 2025.

In 2024, interest income calculated using the effective interest rate method reached 732.7 billion tenge ($1.37 billion) against 528.7 billion tenge in 2023. Year-on-year growth was about 39%. The positive dynamics was due to the increase in the share of high-yield loans in the retail business, as well as the development of key products for small and medium-sized enterprises. Interest expenses for the year increased by 106 billion tenge and amounted to approximately 380 billion tenge ($710.87 million). The main factors in the increase in expenses were the growth of the customer base and the active expansion of deposit assets that provide financing for the increase in the loan portfolio.

One of the largest banks of Kazakhstan BCC increased its annual net profit by 49.7%

Net interest income before the formation of provisions for expected credit losses, for interest rate assets in 2024 amounted to 358.4 billion tenge ($669.62 million). For comparison, a year earlier, the value was at around 257.6 billion tenge.

In 2024, operating expenses increased by 60 billion tenge compared to the previous year and amounted to about 183.2 billion tenge ($342.35 million). This growth was driven by the expansion of the team to ensure active business and IT development, a natural increase in maintenance and maintenance costs (the impact of inflation and the exchange rate), and increased marketing initiatives to promote products and increase sales.[1]
