2023: Opening of the centre

PJSC UEC-Kuznetsov (Samara, part of the United Engine Corporation, UEC) commissioned a center for design development and scientific research worth 1.5 billion rubles. The press service of Rostec (UEC is part of this state corporation) announced this on June 23, 2023.

The new complex has opened 500 jobs for design engineers and technical service workers. The building has a two-level conference room with a secure VKS system for training events, seminars and work on joint projects. A special classroom has also been created for students of the Wings of Rostec project.

The center has organized a modern space for collective work - a two-level conference room with a secure video conference call system for conducting training events, seminars and work on joint projects.

The opening of the new OKB building is a landmark event for the enterprise and the entire industry. This is a state-of-the-art intellectual center that will shape the future of engine building for the coming decades. Its equipment will allow developing new gas turbine engines completely in a virtual environment using "digital twins" and significantly reduce the creation time - up to 4-5 years, - said Vladimir Artyakov, First Deputy General Director of Rostec.

According to him, UEC-Kuznetsov has a powerful engineering school, high-class specialists who, thanks to this center, will be able to realize their full potential and provide the country with aviation, space and energy power plants. Equipped with advanced technology and modern IT infrastructure, OKB will develop promising power plants for aviation, space and power, added to Rostec^[1]
