2022
According to the data for 2022, the Rainbow Library and Information Center, together with the Central Children's Library, are the core of the Central Library System of the city of Rybinsk and methodological centers for 11 branch libraries.[1]
2014: Entering the BIC "Rainbow" and changing the name to the Central City Hospital "BIC" Rainbow "
On June 6, 2014, the Rainbow Library and Information Center was opened. The Central City Library (TsGB) and the Central Children's Library became part of the Rainbow BIC. TsGB began to bear the name TsGB "BIC" Rainbow[2]
1975: Creation of the Centralized Library System of the City of Rybinsk
In June 1975, the Centralized Library System (CBS) was created on the basis of the Engels Central City Library.
1930
In 1930, the libraries named after Engels and the Book Depository named after III International merged into one library called the Engels Central City Library. And it was located in the building of the former merchant estate.
1921
In 1921, the library was named after Friedrich Engels.
1880: Opening of the Rybinsk Zemstvo Library
The library originates from July 1, 1880, when the Rybinsk Zemstvo Library was opened. The room for the library was allocated in the Zemstvo house, in a room adjacent to the premises of the council. Until 1892, the library was placed in one room, and for the exchange and reading of books it was opened from 10 to 15 hours.
