The Centrgaz open joint stock company is multi-profile investment - construction holding. Includes the contract organizations executing a broad spectrum of works, modern productions on production of construction materials, constructions and products, commercial services. The company is equipped with the high-performance equipment, powerful appliances, has enough qualified specialists for construction and an overhaul of main gas pipelines and distribution gas networks.

The Soyuzcentrgaz construction and installation trust was formed on December 28, 1973 by the order of the Ministry of the gas industry of the USSR "for construction and reconstruction of main gas pipelines, gasification of localities, a construction of production and social facilities". In the 70-80th years of the last century of Soyuzcentrgaz successfully conducted works on arrangement of gas fields in Yamburg, Urengoy, Strezhevy, was engaged in reconstruction of main gas pipelines "Central Asia-Center", "Urals — Kuzbass", liquidated effects of environmental disaster near the Aral Sea in Central Asia, participated in recovery of the cities and villages of Armenia destroyed as a result of an earthquake and recovery from the accident on the Chernobyl NPP. Practically in all European territory of the former Soviet Union and in Siberia Soyuzcentrgaz built technology objects of the gas industry, carried out gasification of regions.

In 1993 the state construction enterprise Centrgaz was transformed to Centrgaz open joint stock company. The controlling stake of Centrgaz open joint stock company is owned by Gazprom open joint stock company.

In 35 years of the activity by the enterprises of Centrgaz holding thousands of kilometers of main gas pipelines and gas networks are laid, 7 compressor stations are entered, more than 200,000 sq.m of living space are put in operation.
