In July 2023, the first pharmaceutical enterprise was launched in Cherepovets. It was called "Cherlab." They established the production of medical tubes for the collection and storage of blood, for the study of serum, blood composition, for the determination of alcohol content, coagulological studies, dozens of tests. For each test, special reagents are placed in the tube. About 125 million rubles were invested in the implementation of the project.

According to the mayor of the city Vadim Germanov, this is excellent news for the region's health care, since until recently only foreign production dominated the market. According to him, the opening of such production in Cherepovets is ideal, since the city is located in the middle between Moscow and St. Petersburg - the main consumers of medical tubes.

Successful logistics, as well as developed urban and industrial infrastructure, have become a decisive factor in making a decision, says Germanov. - Now Cherepovets is not only metal, mineral fertilizers, matches and rolls, but also medical test tubes.

By the beginning of July 2023, the capacity of the enterprise is 20 million medical tubes per year. By the end of 2023, the company intends to increase annual production to 60 million units. Consumers of products are private and public laboratories and clinics, including veterinary ones. Test samples have already been sent to 40 cities.

Now we are at the stage of concluding contracts, - said Alexander Savelyev, deputy executive director of Cherlab.[1]
